The Damascus House
for Men
The Damascus House for Men
The Damascus House is a non-profit, Gospel-centered, drug and alcohol discipleship ministry. Our heart-focused discipleship model teaches drug- and alcohol- dependent men the life-changing truth of the Gospel. Occupants will learn what it means to leave the old self behind (Ephesians 4:22), to renew their minds on God’s Word (Ephesians 4:23) and how to truly live a Christ-like life that brings honor and glory to God (Ephesians 4:24, 1 Corinthians 10:31). The Damascus House firmly believes that the Gospel has the power to transform lives of addiction to lives of worship and freedom in Christ.

Below you will find the steps required for you or a loved one to complete in order to apply for The Damascus House for Men program. Please read each step carefully, ensuring you have filled out all of the necessary information to the best of your ability. Once we have received your application, we will send a confirmation email with instructions on what you can expect moving forward. Thank you for trusting The Damascus House to walk alongside you on your journey.
Rule and Regulations
In order to be accepted into The Damascus House program, a person must meet two mandatory requirements. The first is a true desire to seek God and His kingdom, and the second is a truly repentant heart. They must be in acknowledgement of their sinful lifestyle and have a true willingness to submit to the teachings of Scripture. They must not be under the influence of drugs/alcohol when they arrive and be willing to submit to a urine analysis test. They must be willing to read, sign and adhere to all rules and requirements of the program.
Step 1: Detox
The Damascus House will need validation from an approved detox center that you have completed their program. This will typically require 3-7 days to complete.
Step 2: Background Check
In order to be as safe as possible, we require that you fill out a background check from the state in which you reside before entering The Damascus House. There are certain crimes that prohibit us from granting entrance into The Damascus House. If that is the case for you, we have other options for biblical counseling programs that we can offer to you.
Step 3: Submit Paperwork
The Personal Data Inventory (PDI) is the entrance paperwork that we require. This information is what your counselor needs in order to provide the best counseling possible.
Step 4: Submit Hold Harmless Clause
Some of the activity completed during the program is labor intensive and has the potential to be dangerous. Before arrival, we require you sign a Hold Harmless Clause.
Step 5: Recommended Donation
We do not currently have any program fees. We know that those who need help rarely have the resources to get help. It is our heart’s desire to relieve this financial burden from the families of those seeking help, knowing that walking with someone through life-dominating struggles is already a heavy load to bear. Since we do not receive any state or federal funding, we ask you to prayerfully consider giving a monthly recurring donation or a one-time donation to help support this ministry.
Step 6: Preparing Your Heart
Before entering The Damascus House for Men, please spend some time preparing your heart. As a potential resident, you will need to watch all of the pre-counseling videos while waiting to be accepted into The Damascus House for Men program.
